Expanding Housing Opportunities to End Child Poverty Initiative in Norwich: A Community Led Approach
In Norwich, limited access to affordable and safe housing exacerbates child poverty, health issues, and education setbacks, with a significant percentage of renters living below the poverty level and a troubling number of minors facing homelessness. By conducting a comprehensive analysis of housing needs, engaging underserved youth and families, advocating for policy change, and providing education on advocacy, the initiative seeks to create systemic changes that improve outcomes for children and families facing housing insecurity.
