This session will focus on the intersection of Affordable Housing and the experience of aging in place. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about how Connecticut’s housing landscape impacts older renters and homeowners in the state. Presenters will explore housing resources and policy recommendations to best support Connecticut’s aging population. This session will also provide insight into how our limited pool of social safety nets can impact our housing stability, and how service providers in the community can serve as powerful witnesses and advocates for improving housing quality, safety and affordability for the elderly clients they’re serving, often in their own homes.
