Over the course of the 2025 Connecticut legislative session, we tracked 65 key bills related to housing. Of those 65, 6 were signed into law and 1 was vetoed by the Governor. The following includes:
- A summary of each bill and link to more bill information
- Where the bill made it through the legislative process
- The Partnership’s position on the bill and linked testimony if applicable
- If the bill addresses housing: affordability, stability, creation or choice.
The Partnership tracked the legislative path and final status of each proposal. Several bills were incorporated into H.B. 5002, the Housing Omnibus Bill, which was ultimately vetoed. These bills are clearly marked as such beneath their bill number.
Of the 65 bills we tracked:
- 6 bills were passed into law
1 bill passed both chambers and was vetoed
2 bills only passed one chamber
40 bills were voted out of committee
16 bills were introduced and left in committee
