As the Partnership continues welcoming new members to its Board of Directors, we’re proud to introduce Andrea Comer, Aaron Isaacs, Johnny Shively, and Mariana Serrano. Together, they bring experience spanning public administration, higher education, housing policy, community engagement, and systems strategy, strengthening the Partnership’s work to advance housing justice and equitable housing solutions across Connecticut.
Their perspectives reflect the broad coalition needed to address Connecticut’s housing crisis and build communities where everyone has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.
Andréa Comer
Chief of Staff/Assistant Treasurer, CT Office of the Treasurer
Andréa Comer joins the Partnership Board with extensive experience in public administration, leadership, and equity-centered systems work. Her perspective on the long-term impacts of housing inequity and the role housing plays in shaping opportunity will help strengthen the Partnership’s efforts to advance housing access and economic mobility across Connecticut.
“I’m excited to join the board for two reasons. My parents, who were accomplished professionals, wanted better for their children but because of their color, were denied access to homeownership, which had generational impacts. Second, housing is the link to so many other outcomes – education, employment, and health, among others. If we as a society are truly committed to equity, we must ensure that affordable, quality housing is accessible to all.”
Aaron Isaacs

Aaron Isaacs brings a strong background in higher education leadership and community engagement, with a focus on student success, opportunity, and long-term wellbeing. His experience working directly with students and communities offers valuable insight into the critical connection between housing stability and educational and economic outcomes.

Throughout my career in higher education and community engagement, I’ve seen firsthand how housing access impacts opportunity, well-being, and long-term outcomes, and I’m excited to contribute my experiences toward advancing meaningful solutions across our region.”
Johnny Shively

Johnny Shively brings deep expertise in Connecticut housing policy and community-centered advocacy through his work at Elm City Communities. His experience navigating housing systems, policy development, and grassroots collaboration aligns closely with the Partnership’s mission to advance practical, equitable housing solutions statewide.
