Governor Lamont Nominates New Department of Housing Commissioner

On February 22, 2019, Governor Ned Lamont announced the selection of Seila Mosquera-Bruno as the new Commissioner of the Department of Housing (DOH). Seila Mosquera-Bruno has been a longstanding member of the Reaching Home and HOMEConnecticut Campaigns and a housing champion in Connecticut for over two decades.

Ms. Mosquera-Bruno is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of NeighborWorks New Horizons. NeighborWorks New Horizons is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods by developing quality affordable homes and supporting community building initiatives in New Haven, Fairfield, Southern Hartford and New London Counties.

On March 1, 2019, Ms. Mosquera-Bruno will begin serving as Commissioner-designate, and her nomination will be referred to the General Assembly for confirmation.
