YES Meeting Produces Clear Next Steps

On September 11, 2012, Young Energetic Solutions (YES), met for the second time to discuss how to move forward and accomplish the goals that YES has set out in the New American Dream document. YES hopes to serve as a vehicle for 20-30 year olds to help shape communities that are affordable and exciting places to live, work, play and make a difference.

An energetic and excited group met and decided that the best way to achieve statewide impact would be to start at the ground level and create local hubs of activity in separate communities. These local hubs are imperative to meeting the unique needs and wants of each community.  Discussion during the meeting led to the conclusion that YES would create hubs in Hartford, Middletown, Windham, and New Haven first.

The next meeting of YES will take place in October.
