In January, the US Interagency Council on Homelessness convened a day long forum to discuss the creation and implementation of a common federal vocabulary and data standard on housing status. Based on these discussions, which included 85 participants from a diverse range of backgrounds, USICH compiled a summary report which was released to Congress in early June.
The report to Congress summarizes the January forum and reflects on next steps to continue working towards a common vocabulary and data standard in an effort to better inform our work to end homelessness.
