USICH Announces New Council Chair and Vice-Chair

On January 7, 2016, the United States Interagency Council (USICH) announced Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Department of Health and Human Services, as the new chair of its Council, and Acting Secretary John B. King, Jr., Department of Education, as the new Vice-Chair.

The USICH Council consists of members from over 19 federal agencies and provides guidance and support in the coordination and collaboration between federal agencies working to prevent and end homelessness. Council Chairs and Vice-Chairs are elected on an annual basis, and they preside over four meetings each year.
