The Partnership for Strong Communities Presents at CMBA's Affordable Lending Summit

Partnership for Strong Communities

On Thursday, March 21, the Partnership for Strong Communities presented at the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA)'s Affordable Lending Summit in Southington, Connecticut.

Kayleigh Pratt, Policy Analyst at PSC, gave an overview of the state's affordable housing shortage, which is a key factor in the ongoing trend of young people and seniors leaving the state. Connecticut's housing stock, which is dominated by large, single-family homes, does not meet the needs of Millennials and Baby Boomers, both of whom are looking to downsize. This trend is made worse by the lack of new multi-family home construction in Connecticut.
