NAEH Seeks to Increase Funding to McKinney-Vento Programs

National Alliance to End Homelessness

The National Alliance to End Homelessness has launched their 2014 McKinney Funding Campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to urge the government to provide more funding for the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Grants program administered by HUD. This grant program is the largest federal program that is targeted exclusively toward preventing and ending homelessness.

The House and Senate need to finalize FY2014 spending bills by January 15 to avoid a federal government shutdown. NAEH’s goal is to ensure at least $2.26 billion for McKinney-Vento programs in FY 2014.
