Melville Trust Issues RFP for EOF Program

Melville Charitable Trust

The Melville Charitable Trust has issued a request for proposal for their Employment and Educational Opportunity Fund program. This program offers “modest, highly flexible support” for individuals who are homeless or are exiting homelessness and who have expenses related to finding employment, education, and training. Grants are made on an annual basis to Connecticut nonprofits.
Criteria for the funds include:

  • Must finance an individual’s employment related, educational or training expenses;
  • Should be used to fill in gaps not provided by other assistance programs;
  • May be applied to any related cost that could keep someone from realizing his or her employment or educational pursuits;
  • Cannot be used to cover any of the sponsoring organization's administrative or programmatic costs.

Proposals should be submitted to Rebecca Allen ( by December 5, 2014.
