Melville Trust Issues RFP for Employment and Educational Fund Program

Melville Charitable Trust

The Melville Charitable Trust is requesting Request for Proposals for their Employment and Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program. The EOF program provides flexible funds to Connecticut nonprofit organizations working to support individuals experiencing homelessness or existing homelessness with the educational and training services needed to live self-sufficiently. Since the EOF was launched in 1994, more than 100 EOF grants have been awarded to over 40 community organizations in Connecticut – totaling over $950,000.

This year, the Melville Trust is anticipating to award approximately 12 EOF grants, for up to $7,500, to each nonprofit homeless provider who applies.

The application deadline is November 20, 2015. Applicants must submit a two-page proposal narrative that highlights how the funds will be utilized to serve those existing or experiencing homelessness, and the organization’s budget and proof of tax exempt status.

Interested parties can submit their grant application to Rebecca Allen, Program Officer at the Melville Charitable Trust, by email at rallen@melvilletrust.org.
