National Housing Conference

The National Housing Conference has released their 2016 Paycheck to Paycheck interactive database and report. The database allows users to compare local housing costs and wages as well as home prices / rent and the income needed to afford them.

This year’s edition has a special focus on school workers and examines the housing affordability challenges for occupations such as bus drivers, child care teachers, groundskeepers, social workers and high school teachers.

Data is included for 210 metro areas across the nation for 81 occupations. Bridgeport, CT; Hartford, CT; New Haven, CT; and Norwich, CT are included in the database.
