HUD Releases New Funding to Serve Victims of Human Trafficking

 

On July 2, 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in partnership with the Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS), the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and Office of Victim Crimes (OVC), released Specialized Housing and Services for Victims of Human Trafficking. This is a new three-year program to help victims of human trafficking access housing and supportive services.

Under this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), HUD is making available $13.5 million for housing and trauma-informed, person-centered programming, and $1 million in technical assistance funding to support program recipients with planning and implementation. Up to 21 applicants will be awarded this funding.

The technical assistance applications are due by August 30, 2019. The NOFA applications are due by October 30, 2019.
