HUD Releases FY 2015 Income Limits

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued the final FY 2015 Income Limits. Of the 12 HUD Metro Fair Market Rent Areas (HMFAs) in Connecticut, nine saw increases in the median family income (MFI) which is based on a 4-person household. The most significant increase came from the New Haven-Meriden HMFA which increased 12.8% from $73,900 in 2014 to $83,400 in 2015. The Income Limits in the remaining HMFAs that saw an increase ranged from .1% to 6%.

The three HMFAs where the MFI decreased - Danbury, Waterbury and Litchfield - declined by no more than a 3 percent.
