HUD Awards $32.6 million to Connecticut Homeless Programs

On March 8, 2016, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that Connecticut will receive approximately $32.6 million to support services and programs to prevent and end homelessness. This funding is part of $1.6 billion in grants being awarded to states through HUD’s Tier 1 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program to renew support for 6,400 local homeless housing and service programs. In the next couple of months, HUD plans to award approximately $300 million in Tier 2 grants.
