HUD Awards $21 Million to Connecticut for Public Housing

 

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded Connecticut $21 million from its Capital Fund Program. This money will be distributed to 30 housing authorities throughout the state to build, repair, and renovate public housing.

The six housing authorities receiving the most money will each receive more than $1 million:

Housing Authority of the City of Bridgeport*                 $3,063,192.00
Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk                      $1,039,239.00
Housing Authority of the City of Hartford                      $2,650,627.00
Housing Authority of the City of New Haven                $3,792,533.00
Housing Authority of the City of New Britain                $1,050,601.00
Waterbury Housing Authority                                         $1,063,845.00
