FHLB of Boston Announces 2018 Round of AHP

Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston has announced it will allocate $18.1 million to the 2018 round of their Affordable Housing Program (AHP). The AHP encourages local planning of affordable rental and homeownership housing and allows the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston to address, in partnership with their member institutions, affordable-housing needs in communities across New England.

For 2018, the Bank has set its subsidy limits for any one AHP application at $500,000 in direct subsidy; and $1 million in total subsidy, including the AHP advance interest-rate subsidy.

The online application will be accessible beginning June 11 through August 2, 2018.

The Bank will also hold multiple training sessions and online webinars to help members and sponsors understand the online application. These sessions will begin in May. More information and to register can be found here

The updated 2018 AHP Implementation Plan and the Notice of Changes are available on the Bank's website.
