CT Department of Housing

On September 15, 2015, the Department of Housing (DOH) posted that rental assistance funding is available to State-Sponsored Housing Portfolio (SSHP) properties seeking financing in the 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit round. The rental assistance program (RAP) is one of the main housing programs that directly provide subsidies to very-low income families to be able to rent safe and affordable housing.

Interested parties can apply for the rental assistance funding by:

  1. Contacting Helen Muniz at helen.muniz@ct.gov to make a request.
  2. Completing the RAP analysis workbook and emailing it to helen.muniz@ct.gov for review by October 9, 2015.  Applicants are encouraged to submit the RAP analysis workbook prior to October 9, 2015, to help streamline the review process.

DOH may offer soft commitment letters by October 19, 2015.
