CT Receives $570,000 for the Fight Against Housing Discrimination


The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded more than $41 million to 99 organizations throughout the United States to aid individuals who have suffered from housing discrimination.  Connecticut is one of the lucky 35 states to receive a portion of these grants which are being administered through HUD’s Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP).

The Connecticut Fair Housing Center, Inc, located in Hartford, will receive $325,000 in Private Enforcement initiative grants, $125,000 in Education and Outreach initiative grants and $125,000 for Fair Housing Organizations Initiative.
