Office of Governor Malloy

The State of Connecticut was awarded $700,000 from the Federal Transit Administration to conduct a study of transit-oriented development (TOD) opportunities along the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield rail corridor (the Hartford Line). Governor Malloy and the members of Connecticut’s Congressional delegation made this announcement on Tuesday, September 15, along with the announcement that this federal funding will be matched by $200,000 in state funds.

This grant was a result of the state’s application to the U.S Department of Transportation’s Transit-Oriented Development Pilot Planning Program. The funding will go towards TOD at stations in North Haven, Newington, West Hartford, Enfield, Windsor and Winsor Locks.
