Costs of Rural Homelessness: Rural Permanent Supportive Housing Cost Analysis

 

This report from the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), MaineHousing, and the Maine Department of Health and Human Services is the first statewide cost of homelessness data collection effort in the nation to be conducted in a rural setting. By comparing the cost and frequency of services utilized by people who are homeless before and after they entered a supportive housing program, the report found significant cost savings once individuals lived in permanent supportive housing.
