DECD and CHFA Offer Funding to Aid State Housing

 

The CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and the Connecticut Finance and Housing Authority (CHFA) have each issued Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) aimed at preserving and improving state assisted housing developments.

State Housing Rehabilitation & Preservation Program

  • NOFA posted on January 13, 2012 by DECD.
  • Applications will be accepted by DECD until March 1, 2012.
  • Applications should be sent to the attention of Ms. Frances Messina, C.D. Specialist, DECD, 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT 06106.

Housing Authority Small Improvement Program

  • NOFA posted January 10, 2012 by CHFA
  • Applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis at CFHA from February 1, 2012 until September 30, 2012.
  • There will be $250,000 of funds available through CHFA's Community Investment Account (CIA).
  • Applicants can request up to $25,000 per property and must have 100% matching funds from other sources.
  • Electronic signed applications must be submitted to chfashp-2@chfa.org. Paper applications should be mailed to the attention of Lynn Koroser-Crane at CHFA, 999 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
