Bond Commission Approves Funding for Housing Development

The Connecticut State Bond Commission met on Thursday, March 24, and approved over $29 million for housing and community development related funding.

  • The Office of Policy and Management was allocated $12 million to finance grants-in-aid to municipalities for transit-oriented development projects.
     
  • The Department of Housing was allocated $4.2 million to provide a loan to assist with development of 60 units of mixed-income housing in a mixed use property at 370 Asylum Street in Hartford.
     
  • The Capital Region Development Authority was allocated $8.2 million to provide a loan to assist with development of 60 units of mixed-income housing in a mixed-use property at 370 Asylum Street in Hartford.
     
  • The Office of Policy and Management was allocated $5 million to finance grants-in-aid to municipalities for projects that promote the principles of responsible growth.
